Walking and Cycling - Pitlochry is the ideal base for walkers and cyclists with walks and routes to suit everyone. The attached links will give you an idea of what is available in the area. We also have maps, brochures and books for use during your visit.

Golfing - Pitlochry Golf Course, with sweeping views down the Tummel Valley and in the shadow of the Ben Y Vrackie, is an 18 hole par 69 course open to members, visitors and groups and offers enjoyable play for the average player and challenges the advanced.

Fishing - With an abundance of lochs and rivers, Highland Perthshire is a fishing paradise with
salmon, trout and course fishing widely available.

Distilleries - The Gaelic "usquebaugh", meaning "Water of Life", phonetically became "usky" and then "whisky" in English. In Pitlochry, there is the opportunity to visit and taste different whiskies at:

Edradour - the smallest distillery in Scotland.
Blair Athol Distillery - one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland.
Dewars World of Whisky in nearby Aberfeldy is also well worth a visit.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre - Established in 1951 in a tent, Pitlochry Festival Theatre now occupies a beautiful location on the banks of the River Tummel. Offering both summer and winter productions plus a varied programme of workshops, concerts, tours and talks , a visit to ‘the theatre in the hills’ is a must to any visitor to the area.

Shopping - From the small independent shops to be found in the towns of Aberfeldy, Dunkeld & Birnam and Pitlochry to the House of Bruar, situated on the A9 near Blair Atholl - there is something to suit all budgets and tastes in Highland Perthshire.
